HONORS, CORDS, & STOLES 

 
ACADEMIC SCHOLARS
Students may graduate as an Academic Scholar according to the requirements listed. They must earn a minimum grade of a B- in the college credit-bearing course for the course to qualify. Students who qualify for this honor will be noted in the program and are eligible to purchase a stole for $20 to wear at commencement signifying this accomplishment. Qualifying students will receive a letter stating that they are eligible for this recognition. 
 
The Three Levels of Academic Scholars 
***Highest Academic Scholar: 5 College Credit-Bearing Classes in 3 or more areas - Gold Stole
      **High Academic Scholar: 4 College Credit-Bearing Classes in 2 or more areas - Silver Stole
                 *Academic Scholar: 3 College Credit-Bearing Classes - White Stole

GRADUATION WITH HONORS
All students with a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher will graduate with Honors - having earned an academic letter, which was awarded at an earlier ceremony and is noted in the graduation program.

LITERACY HONOR CORDS
Students who have made reading and literacy a priority, and demonstrated that accomplishment throughout their high school experience will earn Literacy Honor recognition. Students who qualify for this honor will be noted in the program and are eligible to purchase a white literacy cord for $10 to wear at commencement signifying this accomplishment. Qualifying students will receive a letter stating that they are eligible for this recognition. More information about the Literacy Honors Program (Rangers Read) can be found here.
